  • 2011.04.11: Website officially founded with an initial focus on technology, lifestyle, design, and thoughtful essays.
  • 2012.04.05: Undertook a comprehensive code and layout refactoring for the “Lion Door” theme to clean up experimental code and syntax errors.
  • 2012.04.06: Completed theme reset, redeploying all custom features with verified compatibility.
  • 2012.05.08: Total pageviews crossed 60,000.
  • 2012.05.28: Reconfigured and upgraded Google Analytics event tracking.
  • 2012.06.07: Total pageviews surpassed 70,000.
  • 2012.06.21: Upgraded to a clean BTtemplates layout; reader count hit 75,000.

  • 2012.10.16: Selected for China Times Blog Highlights (“Yogurt”).
  • 2012.11.22: Consolidated Blogger and Facebook comments into Disqus, substantially cutting page load latency.
  • 2012.12.07: Evaluated compatibility for legacy Microsoft IE 8 browsers.
  • 2012.12.27: Migrated social sharing tools to Sharethis.
  • 2013.01.09: Total pageviews crossed the 300,000 milestone.
  • 2013.06.06: Launched a lightweight, minimalist theme optimized for speed.
  • 2013.09.08: Reached 490,000 pageviews. In anticipation of the half-million milestone, renamed from “Lion Gate” to the Norse mythological falcon perched between the eyes of an eagle—Vedfolnir.
  • 2013.09.23: Total pageviews crossed 500,000!
  • 2013.12.07: Google PageRank (PR) climbed to 4.

Self-Hosted Growth: The WordPress Era (2014–2023)

  • 2014.01.01: Unveiled the 2014 edition of the Vedfolnir brand logo.
  • 2014.01.25: Completed full data migration from Google Blogger to self-hosted WordPress. The Blogger platform concluded with 592,711 all-time pageviews and 23,557 monthly unique visitors.
  • 2014.02.20: Refined performance according to Cookie-Free Domain best practices; standardized www hostname routing and resubmitted full Sitemap.xml.
  • 2014.05.10: Alexa traffic ranking reached #1,917 in Taiwan and #257,560 globally.
  • 2014.12.15: Released the late-2014 signature “V-Logo” brand artwork.

  • 2014.12.25: Alexa global rank advanced to #208,570; monthly visits neared 60,000.
  • 2015.01.01: Adopted our official Chinese name “鷹眼觀察” (Eagle-Eye Observation). Established signature intelligence blue as the primary brand color; Taiwan Alexa rank climbed to #1,693.

  • 2015.03.08: Iterated the geometric eye structure for greater visual dynamics.

  • 2024–2025: Undertook an end-to-end modernization overhaul, converting over 2,600 long-form articles into Markdown Page Bundles, completely eliminating legacy database dependencies and server overhead.
  • 2026.09:
    • Astro SSG & Global Edge Network: Migrated to Astro’s ultra-fast static build pipeline hosted globally on Cloudflare Pages for instant CDN delivery and zero cold-start latency.
    • Intelligent Taxonomy Restructuring: Pruned over 5,500 orphaned tags and enriched articles using AI-driven semantic tagging aligned with our curated taxonomy.
    • Internationalization (i18n): Fully deployed support across Traditional Chinese (zh-tw), English (en), Japanese (ja), and Simplified Chinese (sc) with consistent Page Bundle parity.
