Sometimes, when handling a large number of cases for the same company, the author would often meet with engineers to discuss work. If the vibe was right, conversations could dive deeper, and some even led to private hangouts for fun.

Occasionally, when chatting about family life, they’d jokingly say, “Because we’re exposed to tons of stray electromagnetic waves in our work environment, all our office colleagues only give birth to girls.”

What’s curious is that this “joke” didn’t seem entirely like a joke, as surprisingly many friends had mentioned the same thing.
Later, many domestic companies started emulating foreign firms, emphasizing welfare policies (especially during the period when engineers were jumping ship en masse). These companies particularly focused on boosting fertility-related benefits (in line with the government’s pro-natalist policies).
